More Hotel Brands Aim to Add Fitness Programs

g5zixjzrgds-markus-spiskeWith the New Year soon to arrive, many people will be making resolutions and one of the most common is getting fit and eating healthier. With these goals in mind, hotels tend to offer packages centered around nutrition and fitness to appeal to guests during the beginning of the year. These packages are typically available for a limited time, but that may be changing soon as the hotel industry realizes how health conscious its guests are.

In response to the increase in guests seeking fitness minded accommodations, the Westin is launching fitness programs at several of its hotels. These programs will include activities such as cross fit, yoga, guided runs, and even classes on juicing. Interestingly, these activities will not cost guests any extra money aside from what they would pay for their nightly accommodations with the packages already included.

Westin is not the only brand of hotels looking for ways to ensure its guests stay healthy. The Edition Hotels is joining forces with a collective called Yoga for Bad People that will allow guests to enjoy a trio of free on demand yoga videos available through the televisions inside the hotel room.

The two brands are among many around the world aiming to take a more health-minded approach. How important is it for you to be able to remain active when you’re staying at a hotel for business or leisure purposes?
