W Mexico City Unveils Major Transformation

wMexicoCityThe W brand by Starwood Hotels & Resorts has come to represent a high standard of luxurious accommodations, reaching the levels set by the illustrious Four Seasons.  These hotels are particularly notable for their Whatever/Whenever service that allows guests to request a number of services regardless of what time it is, and the W Mexico City maintains the W brand’s penchant for impeccable service.

Starwood’s own design team, along with New York-based designer Anurag Nema of Nemaworkshop recently spearheaded a multi-phase renovation at the W Mexico City.  Each and every one of the 237 guestrooms has received a major facelift featuring gorgeous new imagery designed to evoke the diversity and strength of Mexico City including heavy use of Mexican themes painted by native artist Ivan Aguirre.

The new Mexican themes aren’t just limited to the W Mexico City’s rooms, however.  The Living Room lobby also features a unique concept fusing the rich culture with Mexico City’s historic past and a lively social ambiance.

Another major development at W Mexico City is the unveiling of the J by José Andrés restaurant where guests can dine on Spanish and Mexican cuisine.

Amenities at W Mexico City besides the Living Room lobby bar also include the Away Spa and Fitness Center.  The hotel is also one of the few that not only allow pets, but also provide services for pooches including walking, feeding, bathing, and veterinary services.
